Chapter 24: Chapter 24

Chapter24 The Wild Girl

“Oh,by the way, what do you do for a living? How come you're.so good at fighting?" Ridgeland suddenly asked.

When she fainted that day, she saw Westfield kick someone down. If he wasn't skilled, she would've been caught by the thugs.

“I'm just naturally strong," Westfield replied with a slight smile, thinking for a moment before saying,"I... currently don't have a job.”

"Unemployed?" After expressing surprise, Ridgeland said, "I recently moved to Meadow Park, and ironically, I need a bodyguard. Would you mind working as my bodyguard? Alright, I can give you 8,000 a month! How does that sound?"

"A bodyguard?" Westfield couldn't help but laugh. "No, thank you."

Having the Jeremy family's young master work as a bodyguard would surely drive the Jeremys crazy. Moreover, he didn't have any interest in being a bodyguard as he had many things to handle at

Kenneth Scott.

Ridgeland was a bit stunned. The salary she offered was considered high in Meadow Park, yet Westfield actually declined? Wasn't he jobless?

"Well, okay. However, if you ever want to work for me, feel free to give me a call anytime!" she smiled, not taking the matter to heart. She had invited him to work for her with intentions to help him out.

She believed that he was probably no more physically strong than she was, but there was still a big difference between him and a real bodyguard who could actually defend people.

After ordering the dishes, Westfield handed the menu to Ridgeland.“I'm going to the restroom."

Just then, a voluptuous woman wearing a open-shoulder dress and a tight skirt walked down the aisle, exuding a seductive charm.

With a thin waist and a prominent chest, she appeared as if she were an indifferent queen. As people tried to pass by her, they

quickly moved out of her way.

Westfield got up and turned to walk away when the woman came close. She was used to others making room for her because of her noble background, therefore she had no intention of making room for him. After all, had she ever shown others respect before?

"Get out of the way," she coldly rebuked Westfield, displeased with his shabby appearance. At the same time, she raised her foot and mercilessly stomped it on his toes with her high-heeled shoes.

Frowning, Westfield swiftly dodged her attack, catching the woman off-guard.

He was able to evade it, but the woman stepped on an empty space and slipped, falling on her butt.

“Ouch!”

She held her butt, crying out in pain. She fell in a very disheveled manner, with her clothes torn up.

"You jerk! What do you think you're doing?"she immediately screamed and angrily scolded Westfield.

"Christiant's what I wanted to ask you; what do you think you're doing?”

Westfield's face darkened slightly.

"You stood in my way,and you were so bold as to step aside when I kicked you. Are you aware of who I am? Are you able to make up for the damage you caused to my Chanel clothing? You poor man!"

She observed him from head to toe, her eyes filled with disgust and scorn.

“Furthermore, when did you, a lowly employee, believe you could enter such an upscale restaurant? It really frustrates me! Leave this place now! I don't want to see anything as repulsive as you when I'm eating here, so get out!"

With a condescending look, she commanded Westfield to leave.

The few waiters behind trembled and dared not say anything. The people eating here all had status, and even if they dressed poorly.they weren't ones that waiters could drive away.

Westfield's expression turned héavy, but before he could speak up,Ridgeland suddenly interrupted, “Scott, this is the guest I invited. You bumped into him, and now you're asking him to leave. Who do you think you are?"

"Scott? Who do you think you're calling Scott?!”

Lowerview's face changed, her voice trembling with anger. How could this girl insult her like this?!

"Who else is an auntie here, besides you? Whoa, perhaps you too are a woman in your middle years! What's causing your horrible attitude and fussing so much? Are you going through menopause or something? Would you mind going somewhere else if you can't bear us? Why create a fuss here?" Ridgeland cruelly ridiculed her.

Westfield listened on in a daze, realizing that this young girl was not ordinary.

Lowerview was so angry that her whole body trembled. She glared at Westfield and Ridgeland with resentment, cursing angrily.

"Okay, very well! Do you think that by bringing thislittle b*tch to support you, you can be arrógant in front of me?!”

"Autumnheights have you know that my boyfriend will be here soon, and you two b*tches won't be spared! Just wait and see!”

Slap!

Before Lowerview could finish her curse, Ridgeland stood up and slapped her hard across the face!

"You can insult me, but you better show some respect to my guest!Otherwise, the next slap won't be so light!”

Ridgeland stared at Lowerview, her expression ice cold.

"You.., you dared to hit me?”

Lowerview covered her face, looking at Ridgeland.

Westfield couldn't believe what he saw. He didn't think Ridgeland would defend him. He was ready to speak when she gave him a comforting grin and said, "D'on't be afraid. I can still keep you safe in this kind of place! I can slap that b*tch across the face if she tries to offend you once again!"

"Christiannk you," he responded with a smile. She was the first girl who stood up for him, even though they weren't very familiar with each other.

"No problem, you helped me yesterday too," Ridgeland smiled back.

Suddenly, Lowerview burst into tears and ran towards the restaurant's entrance.

"Darling, what happened?”

A man in a suit was just entering when he asked, his eyebrows slightly furrowed,

"Those two bastards conspired against me! They even slapped me.and my face is all swollen!" Lowerview pointed to her red and swollen cheek as she cried.

"What?!" The man's face dafkened, but when he caught sight of Ridgeland,a strange look flashed in his eyes.

"Did you hit my woman?" the man walked up to them, his gaze disdainful as he looked at Westfield. His instinctively assumed that Westfield was the culprit.

“It was me." Ridgeland immediately took responsibility, showing no signs of fear. Somehow, she seemed to have certain privileges in this restaurant.

“You?" The man looked at her, a slightly cold smile forming at the corner of his mouth as the strange look his eyes grew more apparent.

"Very well, I like your personality,"he said, his gaze excited and perverse."Pretty girl, I can give you a chance. If you spend a day with me, Autumnheights let this incident go. What do you think?"

Feeling displeased, Lowerview protested,"Darling, how can you..."

“Shut up!" The man snapped angrily, leaving her feeling wronged and unable to say anything.

"Lady, the poor man next to you has neither money nor power. He would definitely need a year to save enough money for a single meal here. He is not deserving of you. On the other hand, I can bring you here for meals every day if you choose to be with me.I have a lot more money than the destitute man standing next to New Harbor can even give you my car if you agree." Without even looking at Westfield, the man slammed his Ferrari keys onto the table with an air of confidence.

The people watching this scene didn't step in to intervene, but instead derived pleasure from the commotion. Many of them were looking down on Westfield.

Anyone with eyes could see that the man's clothes alone were worth tens of thousands of dollars, if not more, while Westfield's clothes were simply cheap goods.

A true portrayal of poverty!

To them. Westfield was probably bringing Ridgeland here to eat and pick up girls.

When he heard this, Westfield said nothing. Since he and Ridgeland had just recently met, he didn't mind if she went with the dapper man.

He had no idea that Ridgeland would scowl when she heard the man's statements.

"Do you think you can show off just because you have some money?Do I look like I need your dirty money? Use your wallet to support your mother and get lost!"
