Chapter 107: Chapter 107

Ethan Sullivan's phone rang abruptly in the dead of night.

Vincent Grandelle was already deep in slumber.

Diana Grandelle tossed and turned restlessly.

The sudden vibration shattered the silence.

Her body jerked in surprise.

Vincent's phone was charging in the living room.

She threw on a robe and got out of bed.

The name "Ethan Sullivan" on the screen made her pupils constrict violently.

The phone clattered to the floor.

The vibrations continued relentlessly.

She picked it up.

Her finger hovered over the decline button.

Finally, she gritted her teeth and answered.

"Old Master, what happened to Sophia at Vincent's Porcelain today?" Ethan's voice was icy.

Diana's breath hitched.

"He's asleep. Can this wait until tomorrow?"

"Put him on." The command brooked no argument.

In the bedroom.

Vincent woke with irritation when shaken.

"Ethan wants to speak with you." Diana handed him the phone.

"Sophia's in the hospital for fetal preservation." Ethan's words jolted Vincent awake.

"How? She was fine this afternoon!"

"I'm sending people to check Vincent's Porcelain's surveillance footage immediately."

The call ended.

Ethan immediately contacted his assistant.

"Take a team to Vincent's Porcelain. Now."

The antique market's gates were locked tight.

Vincent arrived hurriedly with his staff.

The surveillance room door swung open.

"Equipment malfunction. Footage is inaccessible." The clerk was sweating profusely.

The assistant's expression darkened.

"When did it break?"

"Just this afternoon."

Too convenient.

Ethan let out a cold laugh when receiving the report.

"Call the police."

Detective Kevin North arrived with his team.

Police tape went up.

Forensic lights illuminated every corner.

Fingerprint collection.

Evidence bagging.

Vincent paced anxiously.

"Bring everyone in for questioning!"

In the hospital examination room.

The surgical lights glared harshly.

Sophia trembled from pain.

"Let me see Ethan..." she pleaded weakly.

Ethan strode in wearing isolation gear.

Seeing his wife's pallid face.

His knuckles turned white.

"The herbal tea..." Sophia whispered faintly, "Master gave it to me..."

Ethan turned to leave.

"Don't blame him!" Sophia cried urgently, "He didn't know..."

Her voice faded into the antiseptic air.
