Chapter 468: Chapter 468

Shane Prescott's gaze turned icy. His voice was firm. "My last name is Prescott. I have no ties to the Sullivan family. My marriage is none of your concern."

Victor Sullivan's expression stiffened. He forced an awkward chuckle. "Still holding a grudge, child?"

Luna Valentine smoothly intervened. "Uncle Victor, it's better for everyone that Shane keeps his surname. Aside from my parents, no one knows his true origins. As for marriage, let nature take its course."

Victor seized the opportunity to retreat.

He cleared his throat. "Shane is too blunt. You should advise him more."

Luna smiled gently. "I adore his straightforwardness."

Victor shook his head inwardly.

To him, their behavior bordered on vulgarity.

Sophia Laurent and Ethan Sullivan were far more to his liking.

Especially Sophia—cultured enough to restore antiques yet fierce enough to craft explosives, with an impeccable family background.

Victor's eyes softened as he looked at Sophia. "My dear, about that matter—"

Ethan immediately stepped between them. "If you have nothing important to say, please leave."

Victor choked on his words.

He turned to Audrey Sullivan. "Let's go. We shouldn't disturb the children."

Audrey's voice was frosty. "They were fine until you arrived."

The group murmured in agreement.

Victor suddenly felt utterly isolated.

After casting several longing glances at Audrey, he left dejectedly.

Back at the office, Victor buried himself in work.

Adrian Sullivan pushed the door open. "Father, working on a weekend?"

"Work brings me joy," Victor lied through his teeth.

Adrian flattered, "You're most charismatic when you're working."

He produced a jewelry box from his pocket. "This is an engagement gift for Natalie."

Victor smiled approvingly.

Seizing the moment, Adrian said, "Father, I want to get married."

Victor frowned. "What about your situation with Isabella—"

"Weren't you also a father before marriage?" Adrian replied meaningfully.

Victor's face darkened. "That was different."

Returning to his own office, Adrian discovered Ethan had already handled all critical documents.

He hurled the files to the ground, eyes glinting with cold fury.

Back at the Laurent estate, Adrian declared grimly, "Grandfather, I wish to marry."

Leonard Laurent pondered. "Isabella's child must be dealt with."

Adrian's gaze turned icy. "Then terminate it."

He dialed a number. "Take Miss Valentine to the hospital for an abortion."

Hanging up, Adrian stated, "I want someone like Sophia."

Leonard shook his head. "Difficult. What about Zoe Riveron?"

Adrian scoffed. "That tomboy?"

Just then, his phone rang.

A panicked bodyguard's voice came through. "Young Master! Miss Valentine has gone mad! She's wielding a kitchen knife, attacking everyone in sight!"
