Chapter 121: Chapter 121

Jenna noticed Milo's wrinkled shirt and frowned slightly.

"Go change your clothes," she said softly.

Milo glanced down at himself and nodded before heading to his room.

In the kitchen, Jenna tied on her apron and checked the wall clock. The hands pointed to ten o'clock—she needed to hurry with lunch preparations.

The stove flame flickered to life as the spatula clinked against the wok.

Milo returned in fresh clothes and silently began washing vegetables.

Time slipped away in the busy kitchen, and soon it was noon.

The doorbell rang precisely at twelve.

"Milo, get the door," Jenna called without looking up from the stove.

Milo set down the dishcloth and strode to the foyer.

Ethan stood at the threshold in a crisp suit, with Grandma Blanche's warm smile glowing behind him.

"Please come in," Milo stepped aside.

Grandma Blanche inhaled deeply as she entered. "Something smells wonderful!"

Ethan's gaze swept the living room before he headed straight for the restroom.

Five steaming dishes already adorned the dining table.

"Jenna, your cooking is simply divine!" Grandma Blanche's eyes crinkled with delight.

Jenna emerged with the final dish, her hair slightly damp with perspiration.

"Lunch is ready," she murmured.

Grandma Blanche eagerly took her seat while Milo poured water for everyone.

"Ethan is truly blessed to have married you," Grandma Blanche praised between bites of braised pork.

Jenna's ears turned pink as she handed Ethan a bowl of rice.

"Thank you." His deep voice resonated.

Her fingers twitched, nearly dropping the bowl. It was the first time Ethan had thanked her.

"Try this," she quickly changed the subject, serving Milo a chicken wing.

Milo's eyes lit up. "You know me best."

Watching their sibling interaction, Grandma Blanche beamed even brighter. The dining room brimmed with cozy warmth—even Ethan's usual stern expression seemed to soften slightly.
