Jenna Roland had just reached the stairwell when she nearly collided with Gavin Valentine and Oliver Macmillan.
Her brows knitted slightly.
They'd been visiting far too often lately.
Gavin strode forward with a faint smile. "Busy?"
"Mhm. Getting drinks." Jenna turned to Stella Laurent. "Please escort Mr. Valentine to the private room."
Stella responded briskly. "This way, Mr. Valentine."
Gavin followed her into VIP Room 304.
After settling them in, Stella exited.
In the hallway, Jenna approached with two servers carrying trays of alcohol.
"I'll deliver these," Stella intercepted. "You should join Mr. Valentine."
Jenna shook her head. "Can't. This order is for Tony Lombardi's wife. I need to handle it personally."
Stella hesitated, then relented.
Inside the private room, Wendy Lombardi was belting out a duet with her girlfriends.
Spotting Jenna, Wendy immediately dropped the microphone and waved. "Jenna! Over here!"
Jenna set down the bottles and took a seat beside her. "What do you need, Wendy?"
"I lost at finger-guessing," Wendy pouted. "Win this round for me."
Chloe Blanchet protested. "No fair, Wendy."
Lily Evans chimed in. "Yeah, you can't bring in reinforcements just because you're unlucky."
Wendy planted her hands on her hips. "Pregnant women get special privileges!"
Chloe sighed in defeat. "Fine, have it your way."
Jenna checked her watch. "I need to attend to other guests first. I'll come back later."
Wendy cheerfully agreed.
The moment Jenna left, the room erupted with chatter.
Chloe muted the music. "Since when do you have a sister, Wendy?"
Lily leaned in. "And one who works at a place like this?"
Wendy sipped her juice leisurely. "Tony's sworn sister. Completely respectable, and an amazing cook."
The girls exchanged skeptical glances.
"You're joking, right?" Vanessa Galatea asked doubtfully.
Wendy smirked. "She cooked for us last time. Absolutely divine."
Lily's interest piqued. "Now I want to try her dishes too."
