Chapter 189: Chapter 189

Grandma Blanche's hand trembled slightly as she held the phone, a shrewd glint flashing in her eyes.

Suddenly, she understood Ethan Roscente and Justin Kemnis's scheme.

"So Ethan was helping Jenna Roland all along!" The wrinkles around Grandma Blanche's eyes smoothed as she smiled.

"Justin really did make that Red Cross donation. Now Milo can have his surgery—what wonderful news!"

Jenna's cheerful voice came through the receiver. "We owe it all to them. The surgery would've been delayed for months otherwise."

"Milo's condition can't wait. The risks increase with every delay."

Grandma Blanche nodded vigorously. "When is the operation scheduled?"

"During his summer break—in two weeks."

"Focus on taking care of him then. Work can wait."

Jenna responded obediently. "Did you need something, Grandma?"

"I just wanted to check how things are going with Ethan." Grandma Blanche's tone turned affectionate. "I'm relieved to hear you're getting along well."

After hanging up, Grandma Blanche turned to Grandpa Harrison with a knowing smile. "The newlyweds are doing fine. We worried for nothing."

Grace Roscente took a delicate sip of tea. "Arranged marriages need time to adjust. Let them take it slow."

"I think Ethan's fallen for Jenna." Grandma Blanche dropped the bombshell.

Benjamin Roscente frowned. "What makes you say that, Mother?"

"He secretly arranged Milo's surgery funds!" Her eyes twinkled mischievously. "Had Justin pose as a Red Cross donor with a million-dollar contribution."

The living room erupted in murmurs.

Harrison's eyes lit up. "The boy finally developed some sense?"

"Would he go through such trouble if he didn't care?" Grace sniffed.

Grandpa Harrison clapped his hands. "This settles it—Yvonne Sherwood won't stand a chance now!"

At the mention of that name, Grandma Blanche's expression darkened. "But she was his first love for four years..."

"Then we'll see how much he truly loves Jenna," Benjamin said meaningfully.

Grace narrowed her eyes. "The marriage is legal. Yvonne can't interfere now."

"It's up to Jenna to prove herself." Grandma Blanche sighed.

Just then, a floral fragrance wafted through the air.

Sophie Roscente strode into the living room in stiletto heels. Her white sundress accentuated her porcelain skin as her red lips curved into a radiant smile.
