Chapter 291: Chapter 291

Grandma Blanche and Grandpa Harrison Roscente arrived at Villa d'Este in Ethan's private car. Ethan and his grandfather went to greet the guests while Grandma Blanche headed straight for the kitchen to find Jenna Roland.

Jenna stood by the stove in her crisp white chef's coat, her dark hair pulled into a neat bun. The heavy wok danced in her hands as flames licked its base.

This was Grandma Blanche's first time watching Jenna cook. The elderly woman's eyes widened at the sight of the petite woman effortlessly maneuvering the hefty iron wok.

"Jenna dear, I had no idea you were so skilled!" Grandma Blanche approached, admiration shining in her eyes.

Jenna turned, her forehead damp with sweat. "Grandma, you shouldn't be here. The floor is slippery, and the fumes—"

Her voice carried concern. With so many guests today, she couldn't bear the thought of anything happening to the elderly woman.

Grandma Blanche waved dismissively. "Nonsense. My legs are steady as ever."

The firelight cast a rosy glow on Jenna's flushed cheeks as beads of sweat trailed down her neck. Grandma Blanche pulled out a handkerchief. "Shouldn't you take a break?"

"Four more dishes to go." Jenna smiled, her eyes reflecting the stove's flames. "The banquet starts at noon sharp. No delays allowed."

Grandma Blanche noticed the subtle change in her tone. "Has Ethan arrived?"

"He's greeting guests outside." The older woman patted Jenna's shoulder. "Come find me in the main hall when you're done."

The banquet hall was packed. Distant relatives swarmed Grandma Blanche the moment she appeared, forcing her to exchange pleasantries before retreating to the head table.

"Well?" Grandpa Harrison murmured.

"That poor girl is exhausted." Grandma Blanche sighed. "I never should have put her through this."

Grandpa Harrison shook his head. "Too late for regrets now."

Ethan sat nearby reviewing documents, his fingers tapping absently on his tablet. His assistant's report faded into background noise, but every word from his grandmother rang clear.

"Harrison, you should have seen it!" Grandma Blanche suddenly brightened. "Jenna was toss-frying like a circus performer! That tiny frame handling heavy cookware like it's nothing!"

Grandpa Harrison raised an eyebrow. "Impressive skills."

Ethan closed his file and stood. His black suit cut through the sea of red carpet as he strode toward the kitchen.
