Chapter 324: Chapter 324

"Grandma Blanche, Mr. Roscente is resting in the bedroom," Milo Roland replied softly.

Grandma Blanche nodded in understanding. "I thought he hadn't arrived yet." She guided Grandpa Harrison Roscente to sit on the sofa.

Milo turned toward the kitchen and returned with two glasses of water.

"Thank you," Grandma Blanche said, taking a sip.

She patted the empty space beside her. "Don't just stand there. Sit down."

Milo obediently took a seat next to Justin Kemnis.

"How's your recovery going?" Grandma Blanche asked with concern.

"I'm completely fine now," Milo smiled. "All my test results are normal."

Grandma Blanche nodded approvingly. "Dr. Melford truly lives up to his reputation."

"Yes," Milo's eyes shimmered with gratitude. "If Dr. Melford hadn't performed the surgery, the consequences would've been unthinkable."

Grandma Harrison interjected, "Choosing Dr. Melford was the right decision."

Suddenly remembering something, Grandma Blanche added, "Oh, Dr. Melford has transferred to Johns Hopkins Hospital now. We should properly thank him. How about inviting him to dinner the day after tomorrow?"

"Whatever you say," Grandpa Harrison agreed readily.

Milo looked surprised. "Wasn't Dr. Melford at Mayo Clinic?"

"His hometown is Los Angeles," Grandma Blanche explained. "His parents urged him to return for work and to settle down."

Milo's expression cleared with understanding.

As the aroma of food wafted from the kitchen, the clock struck six.

Jenna Roland emerged carrying the final dish. "Dinner's ready!"

She deftly arranged the tableware before heading to the living room to call everyone.

Grandma Blanche looked apologetic. "You've worked so hard preparing all this alone."

"It's nothing," Jenna wiped her hands. "I'll go get Ethan."

In the bedroom, Ethan Roscente was wrapping up a phone call.

"Dinner's ready," Jenna reminded him gently.

Ethan quickly ended the call and followed her to the dining room.

Everyone had already taken their seats.

Justin raised an eyebrow at the shredded carrots. "Jenna, this knife work doesn't seem like yours."

Milo pointed at the haphazardly sliced cucumbers. "Sis, these cuts are... unusually bold."

Ethan remained silent, keeping his left hand under the table while using his right to pick up a chicken wing.

"The presentation might be lacking," Justin chewed on a carrot, "but the flavor's actually good."

Ethan's expression darkened. "Can't you just eat quietly?"

Justin looked baffled. "I was complimenting the food. Why are you upset?"

Grandma Blanche's gaze landed on Ethan's left hand. "Oh? That bandage..."

She squinted. "Is that... a Hello Kitty Band-Aid?"
