Chapter 358: Chapter 358

Ethan ended the call abruptly and tossed the phone back to Jenna.

"Next time Grandma Blanche calls you, just hang up."

Jenna caught the phone and nodded silently.

After finishing their noodles, Ethan cleared the dishes. Once done, he grabbed several bags of clothes and headed downstairs.

The hallway was eerily quiet this time—no sign of Wyatt and his crew.

Jenna swung her leg over the e-tricycle and tilted her chin at him. "Need a ride to work?"

Ethan eyed the rickety vehicle, imagining his employees spotting him on it. He shook his head decisively.

"No thanks. Be careful on the road."

Jenna didn’t press further. She twisted the throttle and sped off toward Mall of America.

She had just set up her stall when her phone buzzed. A message from Milo said he’d be staying at the hospital to look after Ryan Watson.

Jenna replied understandingly: "Take care of yourself. Don’t forget to eat."

The moment she hit send, Stella’s call came through.

"Aren’t you supposed to be napping right now?" Jenna asked, surprised.

"Can’t sleep because of my sister," Stella rasped. "By the way, why were you at Studio 54 last night?"

"It’s a long story." Jenna deflected. "What happened to Sylvia?"

"She’s missing." Stella’s voice trembled. "Her phone’s dead. The police won’t help. It’s been days."

Jenna’s fingers jerked, nearly dropping her phone. "How?"

"It’s Lucien Valois—I know it!" Stella hissed. "But last night he promised to help find her..."

A cold weight settled in Jenna’s chest. If even the police couldn’t locate Sylvia, the odds were grim.

"Did you check with her friends?"

"Every single one." Stella suddenly broke into sobs. "Jenna… she’s all I have left."

Muffled crying filled the line. Jenna gripped her phone, at a loss for words.
