Jenna Roland picked two dresses from the rack—one pure white as snow, the other soft pink like cherry blossoms.
"These would suit your girlfriend perfectly," she said, handing them to Julian Cardenas.
Ethan Roscente spotted some short skirts hanging nearby. He casually yanked two off the rack and tossed them in front of Julian. "These match your girlfriend's vibe better."
Julian's face darkened instantly. It was clear now—Ethan wasn't just trying to rip him off, but also mocking him!
Jenna quickly grabbed Ethan's sleeve. "He's a customer. Be polite."
"Hmm?" Ethan raised an eyebrow.
"Customer comes first," Jenna whispered. "Throwing clothes like that is rude."
The fact that Julian had followed them here without causing a scene was already the height of courtesy!
"Oh." Ethan responded indifferently.
Julian cleared his throat awkwardly and handed the clothes to Jenna. "Just wrap them all up."
"Great!" Jenna's eyes lit up. "Would you like to check out our new lace lingerie? Your girlfriend will love it."
Julian's lips twitched. What girlfriend?
If Ethan hadn't threatened him, he wouldn't even glance at this cheap merchandise!
He glared at Ethan, then forced a fake smile at Jenna. "Sure."
He'd only meant to track Ethan's movements—never expected to get fleeced instead!
Ethan took the clothes. "I'll handle checkout. You go organize the racks."
Jenna hesitated, glancing at Julian before turning to hang up clothes.
"Shorts—ninety-nine. Skirt—one-thirty. T-shirt—one-sixty..." Ethan drawled the prices.
Julian's eyes widened. The girl had just said the T-shirt was only sixty-five!
Jenna spun around and hissed in Ethan's ear. "Are you insane? Doubling the prices will scare him off!"
"Audi-driving cash cow," Ethan smirked. "Relax. He won't run."
"Total's thirteen hundred," Ethan pushed the bag toward Julian. "Cash or scan?"
Julian nearly choked. Items worth five or six hundred had more than doubled!
"Scan!" He gritted his teeth and pulled out his phone. From now on, he'd cross the street to avoid Ethan!
Ethan waved the payment QR code.
Julian paid and turned to leave.
"Your clothes," Ethan reminded.
Julian stormed back, snatched the bag, and vanished into the crowd without a backward glance.
Jenna looked worried. "He'll never come back."
Ethan slung an arm around her shoulders. "Regular customers wouldn't spend this much in a lifetime."
"But—"
"Rich people's money? Easy come, easy go." He pinched her cheek playfully. "Come on, back to work."
