Chapter 81: Chapter 81

Heidi and Fiona turned to stare at Jason in unison.

Confusion was written across their faces.

They had agreed to threaten Milo into forcing Jenna to pay up—or else they'd expose her job at the club.

Why the sudden change of plan?

Jason shot them a meaningful look.

Neither woman understood, but they held their tongues.

Milo's lips curled into a mocking smirk. "We have our own place now. We don't need your charity. Save your breath."

Fiona blinked rapidly. "Where could you possibly stay? Don't lie to me. We'll treat you better from now on."

The Roland relatives had always despised these siblings.

Where could they go?

Especially with Milo's congenital heart disease requiring expensive surgery. Would Jenna really splurge on rent?

The three adults exchanged puzzled glances.

Jason forced a smile. "Milo, we were wrong before. But family is family. Come home with us?"

Jenna earned good money at the club.

If they moved back in, free meals and housing were guaranteed.

Plus they could dump all household chores on Jenna.

A foolproof scheme.

Milo rolled his eyes. "In your dreams. Ryan, let's go."

Jason moved to block them.

Ryan pulled out his phone. "One more step and I'm calling the cops."

The school gates were crowded with witnesses.

Jason had no choice but to back off, plastering on a smile. "Our door is always open."

"Piss off!"

Milo shot him a disgusted glare before striding away with Ryan.

A vicious glint flashed in Jason's eyes as he returned to the car.

Heidi scowled. "We agreed to play hardball! That brat only responds to threats!"

Fiona fumed. "This was foolproof! We could've squeezed money out of Jenna!"

The wasted trip infuriated her.

Jason's face darkened. "What if they called the police? What if the kid recorded us too?"

A few thousand bucks wasn't worth jail time.
