Chapter 90: Chapter 90

Ethan Roscente stepped out of Studio 54 into the deep night. He dismissed his driver and walked straight toward Gavin Valentine's car.

Gavin leaned against the car door, cigarette in hand. Spotting Ethan, he quickly stubbed it out.

"Get in." Ethan opened the rear door.

Gavin scrambled into the driver's seat. After buckling up, he glanced back. "Where to?"

Rubbing his temples, Ethan replied in a low voice, "Beverly Hills."

Gavin's grip on the steering wheel faltered. Beverly Hills? Wasn't that Jenna Roland's neighborhood?

He stole a glance at Ethan through the rearview mirror. The man's sharp profile flickered under passing streetlights, eyes closed in apparent exhaustion.

As the car merged onto the main road, Gavin finally broke the silence. "You own property in Beverly Hills?"

"Hmm." Ethan didn't even open his eyes.

Gavin's mind raced. Why would Ethan choose some suburban condo over his penthouse in the city center? Unless...

Was this about Jenna?

A grin tugged at Gavin's lips. If his hunch was right, things were about to get interesting.

Thirty minutes later, they pulled up at the gated community.

Gavin jumped out first, grinning. "Mind if I come up for a drink?"

Ethan stopped walking. His gaze turned icy. "Business?"

"Just tea..." Gavin rubbed his hands together.

"Convenience store's to your right." Ethan strode through the gates without looking back.

Left standing alone, Gavin watched Ethan's retreating figure disappear around a corner before trudging back to his car.

"Cheapskate," he muttered, starting the engine.

When Ethan entered the apartment, Milo Roland was curled on the couch scrolling through his phone.

Spotting Ethan, Milo immediately stood. "Mr. Roscente."

The faint scent of alcohol hung in the air. Wisely, Milo asked no questions.

Ethan headed toward the bedroom but suddenly turned at the doorway. "Did you know your sister works at a nightclub?"

Milo froze. His phone nearly slipped from his fingers.
