Chapter 433: Chapter 433

“Good morning, Mr. Blackwood,” Henry greeted with deference.

“Is Liam still sleeping?”

“Yes, Mr. Blackwood.”

“Very well. I need you to go to the hospital tomorrow.” Ethan’s voice was firm and left no room for argument.

After ending the call, his expression hardened with resolve.

If Isabella wanted to remain with him, she would have no choice but to stay as well.

Morning light poured through the hospital window, illuminating the sterile room.

The door opened quietly. A well-dressed middle-aged man entered. It was Henry.

Isabella looked up, startled. The atmosphere instantly grew thick with tension. Her nerves felt like they were pulled taut.

She rose to her feet, her tone polite but guarded.

“Did Mr. Blackwood send you with a message?”

Henry offered a slight, respectful bow.

“Mr. Blackwood has requested your presence at Blackwood Enterprises. Liam misses you, Mrs. Blackwood.”

“Blackwood Enterprises?” Isabella repeated, her brow furrowing in confusion.

“Yes,” Henry confirmed. “Mr. Blackwood took Liam to the office.”

A cold dread settled in Isabella’s stomach.

Ethan had taken their son to the company?

What was that man plotting now?

Her lips pressed into a thin, worried line. Her mind raced.

She had no desire to see Ethan. That hadn't changed. But his sudden interest in their son filled her with a confusing mix of fear and suspicion.

She couldn't stop wondering what his game was.

She took a steadying breath and met Henry’s gaze.

“Mrs. Blackwood,” Henry prompted, his tone still respectful.

Isabella glanced back at her grandmother one last time. She finally gave a reluctant nod.

Given the circumstances, she had to see Ethan. She needed to understand his intentions, whether she wanted to or not.

She leaned close to her grandmother’s bedside.

“I’ll be back soon, Grandma.”

Then she followed Henry out of the room.

Less than an hour later, the elevator doors opened onto the top floor of Blackwood Enterprises. Isabella followed Henry into a stunning reception area outside the CEO's office.

The panoramic view of the city stretched behind towering glass walls. The décor was minimalist yet exuded luxury. It felt more like a high-end hotel lobby.

“Please wait here a moment, Mrs. Blackwood,” Henry said before knocking on the heavy office door.

“Enter,” a deep, familiar voice commanded from within.

Henry opened the door and stepped aside, gesturing for her to go in.

She stepped into the office—and froze.

All the furniture in Ethan’s vast office had been pushed against the walls. In the center of the plush carpet was a massive, chaotic mountain of toys. Cars, robots, building blocks, and stuffed animals were scattered everywhere.
