The moment Nathan Prescott heard the rumors, he couldn't resist stirring the pot and immediately relayed them to Liam.
Liam's face contorted with a mix of pain and fury.
His mother was completely infatuated with Oliver, that troublemaker! She was a terrible mother!
Nathan added fuel to the fire. "Remember last time? Your mom only barely won against Victoria because she cheated. She spilled juice all over her and then played that famous violin, the Celestial Nocturne."
"Even with all those advantages, she only beat Victoria by 0.1 points. What's so impressive about that?"
Liam's expression darkened with disappointment.
He had truly believed his mother was talented, but Victoria and Mr. Whitmore insisted she had just gotten lucky.
How could his mother, who hadn’t even finished high school, possibly be better than Victoria, a graduate of the prestigious Royal Solmaris Conservatory?
Besides, he had seen his mother deliberately spill juice on Victoria.
Victoria, however, didn’t seem bothered. She asked softly, "Liam, do you know what your parents went out to do?"
Liam shook his head. "I don’t know."
Victoria pressed further. "Liam… are your parents really getting a divorce?"
"No way!" Liam snapped instinctively. "I just asked Dad, and he said Mom wouldn’t leave him!"
A flicker of concern passed through Victoria’s eyes.
Noticing this, Nathan gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder.
"Victoria, I’ll go find Alexander."
Victoria offered a gentle smile. "Alright. I’ll stay here with Liam."
On the way to the hospital, Victoria had casually mentioned to Nathan how Alexander’s attitude toward Amy had shifted.
Nathan, ever eager to meddle, had volunteered immediately.
"Victoria, Alexander would never seriously consider someone like Amy—a high school dropout. Don’t worry. As long as I’m around, I won’t let him end up with her."
"She’s just playing games, acting all coy and mysterious, but Alexander’s too smart to fall for it."
Fixing things was hard.
But ruining them? That was easy.
Last time, Amy had humiliated him, forcing him to bark like a dog in front of everyone. His pride had been shattered.
This time, he wouldn’t let her off so easily.
He absolutely wouldn’t allow Alexander and that woman to get together!
Nathan set off to find Alexander.
Truthfully, he wanted to sabotage any interaction between them.
That performance? Pure luck—like finding a four-leaf clover. She had barely scraped by against Victoria.
But what if Alexander was charmed by her?
Nathan knew better than anyone how much Alexander adored women who played the violin well.
Leaving the hospital room, Nathan tried calling Alexander, but there was no answer.
Frowning, he searched the hospital.
Then, in a secluded corner, he spotted two familiar figures.
Of course—it was Alexander with that scheming woman, Amy!
Victoria’s worries weren’t unfounded. Amy was clearly trying to seduce him.
Nathan’s eyes gleamed with mischief.
He was dying to see just how shamelessly Amy would try to manipulate Alexander.
Creeping closer, Nathan held his breath, eavesdropping like a thief.
He didn’t dare get too close, staying just out of sight.
From a distance, he couldn’t catch everything, but he picked up fragments—"no divorce," "don’t want anything," and "meet at ten tomorrow morning."
Nathan’s eyes widened in shock.
He had just stumbled upon something explosive.
