Chapter 404: Chapter 409

Amy Sinclair hesitated for a brief moment before responding, "Got it. I'm on my way."

...

At Celestial Melodies Studio.

Samantha Reynolds stood frozen, her gaze sweeping over the vandalized walls splattered with paint and the shattered musical instruments. Her expression darkened with barely contained fury.

Isabella Whitmore, who had just completed her hiring paperwork, stared at the wreckage with wide, horrified eyes.

Her voice trembled with guilt. "Maybe... maybe I should just leave. Find something else."

The past few weeks had been nothing but setbacks for her. Landing this job had felt like a miracle—a lifeline she desperately needed. If she lost it now, she’d be back to playing piano in dimly lit bars, a fate she had fought so hard to escape.

She had nearly given up before meeting Amy and Samantha. For the first time in years, she had dared to hope. And now... this. The studio was destroyed, instruments beyond repair, paint smeared like a deliberate insult.

Her mind immediately went to her ex-boyfriend. That man had no limits—no line he wouldn’t cross.

Samantha shook her head sharply. "We’re not jumping to conclusions. Let’s wait for Amy. This might not even be about you."

Half an hour later, Amy arrived.

She took one look at the damage, then asked, "What about the other floors?"

Samantha exhaled sharply. "Just paint on the doors and walls outside. Nothing inside was touched. Only our floor was completely wrecked."

Amy nodded, her face eerily calm. "This was meant for me."

Isabella bit her lip. "Ms. Sinclair... do you think I brought this on you?"

Amy shook her head. "No. If someone had a grudge against you, they would’ve warned us not to hire you first. But they only targeted our floor. This was personal."

The culprit wasn’t hard to guess. Just days ago, Nathan Prescott and Victoria Langley had shown up here. The crude, violent destruction? Classic Nathan.

Samantha scowled. "Why trash only our floor and leave the rest?"

Amy’s lips curled into a cold smile. "Because they still want this place. Destroying everything would make it useless to them too."

Samantha’s hands clenched into fists. "What is Victoria’s problem? You and Alexander are divorced, but she and Nathan still go out of their way to torment you. Is she really that delusional, or just pretending?"

She let out a bitter laugh. "Maybe they just want to make sure Alexander never forgets you."

Amy glanced toward the entrance. "Did you check the security footage?"

Samantha’s shoulders slumped. "They destroyed the cameras."

Amy walked to the corner, a faint smirk playing on her lips. "The indoor ones are still working."

Samantha blinked. "We have indoor cameras? Since when?"

Amy pulled out her phone and opened the surveillance app. "After Nathan and Victoria’s little visit, I installed a few hidden ones."

Samantha stared at her. "You expected this?"

Amy’s expression was unreadable. "We humiliated Nathan that day. Did you really think he’d just walk away?"

Samantha scoffed. "Nathan is unbelievable. I don’t even know what to say anymore."

Amy scrolled through the footage. Four figures in disguises had entered, their faces obscured, but their destruction methodical.

Samantha watched, her anger simmering beneath the surface.
