Chapter 447: Chapter 452

The situation with Liam Blackwood only added fuel to the fire.

Because of Victoria Langley, the other woman, things between Liam and his wife had spiraled out of control—divorce papers filed, tempers flaring, and now, knives drawn. Neither willing to yield. Scandals like this, even among the elite, became the juiciest gossip at cocktail parties and dinner tables.

Neither the Blackwoods nor the Sinclairs could afford such disgrace.

In that moment, Dominic Whitmore finally grasped what Amy was implying. He fell silent for a long moment before speaking. "Celeste, you're dancing on the edge of a volcano. What if... what if Alexander genuinely just wants to prove a point? Aren't you putting yourself in danger?"

Amy merely smiled, unbothered. "If I don't get to unleash my anger, who knows? One day, I might snap and do something irreversible. I might even end his life."

Dominic's lips parted as if to argue, but he swallowed his words.

It was too late now. The damage was done. And since Benjamin Carter's predicament hadn't been orchestrated by Alexander, perhaps it was better to keep the truth from Amy.

Meanwhile, across town, Sebastian Kingsley listened as his assistant delivered the latest update, his brow lifting in surprise.

"So, the man who went after Samantha Reynolds... he wasn't working for Alexander?"

The assistant nodded. "Correct, sir. In fact... he's connected to the Carter family."

"Benjamin's family, then..." Sebastian flipped through the documents, his dark eyes narrowing slightly as he absorbed the details.

He arched an eyebrow. "So the leak about Benjamin didn't come from Alexander, but from his own family?"

The assistant confirmed, "Yes, Mr. Kingsley. The Carters want him to return home, but he refuses. They orchestrated this to pressure him."

Sebastian asked, "Does Benjamin know?"

"He should. The Carters have approached him multiple times." Sebastian leaned back into the sofa, perfectly at ease.

"So Benjamin knows Alexander isn't behind this, yet he hasn't told Amy... That's cold."

The assistant added, "While investigating, I noticed Dominic was also digging into this... I suspect he's figured it out too."

A faint, amused smirk tugged at Sebastian's lips.

"Not only is Benjamin keeping quiet, but even Alexander's closest friend, Dominic, hasn't spoken up? I heard Dominic's been feeding Amy information lately. For him to stay silent and let Alexander take the blame... Now that's interesting."

Oliver Kingsley, who had been quietly doing his homework nearby, glanced up at his father.

"Dad, are you going to tell Amy?"

Sebastian looked down at his son, mischief glinting in his eyes. "If both Benjamin and Dominic have chosen silence, why should I be the one to break it? Alexander's reputation must be in ruins if even his best friend won't defend him. Why should I interfere?"

Oliver blinked. "What if Mr. Blackwood tries to explain to Amy himself?"

Sebastian chuckled. "Even if Alexander denies everything, Amy wouldn't believe a word he says. Right now, his credibility is nonexistent—she trusts nothing from him. Besides, he wouldn't bother trying to explain."

The assistant, unable to resist, interjected. "But if Mr. Blackwood isn't responsible, why wouldn't he just clear his name?"
