Chapter 430: Chapter 430

Elise never did see the doctor William had mentioned.

"Would you prefer James to stay with you?" William inquired. "The physician advised bed rest for five days given your current state. Full mobility won't return for two weeks. To be specific, that's how long it will take for your body to regain strength, but your fractured leg requires at least three months to heal properly."

"No." She refused William immediately—she couldn't bear James seeing her in such a pitiful condition.

"Very well." William respected her decision.

Silence fell between them until Elise suddenly said, "I need to use the restroom."

"I'll carry you," William stated, sweeping her into his arms before she could protest.

That was when he noticed the IV still attached to her wrist.

After studying it for a moment, he placed her back on the bed. "It's just nutrients. You won't need it now that you've eaten. I'm going to remove the needle, so please bear with it."

"Alright."

William proved surprisingly skilled at removing the IV, and Elise felt minimal discomfort.

However, he continued pressing on her vein for an extended period.

"I'm fine now," Elise told him.

"The needle was in for quite some time. I need to apply pressure a bit longer."

"I'm about to have an accident," Elise huffed, her patience wearing thin.

William immediately understood and had her apply pressure herself while he carried her to the bathroom, carefully positioning her near the toilet.

Then, before she could speak, he removed her pants.

Her clothes had been changed—she now wore loose garments that likely belonged to William.

That explained how effortlessly he undressed her, something she hadn't even realized.

"Be quick," William said, appearing completely composed despite the intimate situation.

Elise gritted her teeth but slowly sat down, her eyes dropping to her pants.

She remembered she'd been on her period. Though she wasn't wearing any sanitary products, she felt completely clean between her legs.

William seemed to read her thoughts. "It ended yesterday."

Elise looked up at him, speechless.

Did that mean he had changed them for her?!

No matter how composed she usually remained, her cheeks flushed crimson.

After all, something this personal...

"I didn't know how to handle it properly, so I used adult diapers instead," William explained. "There wasn't much flow anyway—"

"Could you wait outside?" Elise interrupted.

She couldn't take any more of this conversation and needed to stop him from providing further details!

"Of course," William replied, his eyes lingering on her flushed cheeks. "Call me when you're finished. The doctors emphasized you're very weak and must avoid another fall—the consequences would be severe."

"Out!" Elise snapped—she'd been holding back for too long.

William quickly complied. Once she finished, he carried her back to bed.

"May I wash my face and hands?" she asked.

"You can do that in bed," William told her, settling her back against the pillows before returning to the bathroom.

He brought her a basin of water and used a clean towel to wipe her cheeks.

"I can manage," Elise said, reaching for the towel—she felt stronger after eating the oatmeal.

William didn't object and wrung out the towel while she cleaned her face, hands, and neck...

"What about the rest of your body?" William asked.

"Could I take a proper shower instead?" Elise countered, feeling the urge for a thorough cleaning after the partial wipe-down.

"Certainly..."

Elise was surprised by his easy agreement, until...

"But only if I assist you," William finished, his expression completely serious.
