Roger Zachary, Ridgeland asked Westfield why things had suddenly escalated to this point. Westfield didn't hide anything and briefly explained what happened.
Basically, someone in the family coveted Kenneth Scott and used other means to take it away.
After listening, Ridgeland was filled with righteous indignation.
“I never expected the people from the Jeremy family to be so shameless. Relying on being the grandson of the Jeremy family patriarch, Gary conspired with his own people to attack his cousin. It's despicable!”
She had a certain charm when she was angry.
"Alright, let's calm down and figure out the next steps," Westfield said, trying to ease the situation.
“The person involved doesn't even care, so don't be so upset!” he couldn't help but laugh lightly, appearing carefree.
"You're not angry at all?" she asked him, surprised that he could still laugh.
"If getting angry could solve the problem, I would've been furious by now. Keeping my possessions doesn't depend on my anger, it depends on this," Westfield seriously replied, pointing at his head.
"I support your idea, so let's work together. Although my company's small, you're one of Meadow Park's business legends. I'm sure you can replicate John Reed success and reach even greater heights!" Ridgeland's eyes lit up,excitedly hitting the table as she spoke.
Shaking his head with a wry smile, Westfield asked, "You asked me to consider it, right? So, you invited me to coffee just to discuss this?"
"I'm sevious! Some things can't be explained over the phone, and I have full belief in you," she said earnestly.pouting her lips.
“How ridiculous! John Reed former chairman now needs a woman's help to make a comeback?"
Just then, a snide voice came from nearby, accompanied by an applause.
"Gary? What're you doing here?" Westfield raised his eyebrows, staring coldly at Gary.
“If I didn't come, how would I know that the Jeremy family's exiled dog still have the mood to invite women around? They call you a business genius and Meadow Park's legend, but I don't really see that."
Gary walked and looked down at Westfield sitting on the couch. He had a proud attitude, his voice laced with mockery.
"Sir,we have no relations with Kenneth Scott anymore. Why are you still trying to assault us? Aren't you going too far?" Redsprings questioned with an annoyed look.
Without hesitation, Gary slapped Redsprings's old face.
“You're just an old dog, but you think so highly of yourself! You dare talk to me like that, even ignoring me and leaving the company with this waste! I'Il make you regret betraying me!"
With fierce words, it seemed like Gary had control over Redsprings's life and death.
"How can you just hit someone? Have you lost your mind?” Ridgeland regained her senses, immediately standing up and angrily pointing at Gary.
Westfield's pupils constricted, his face blunt as he spoke in a low voice,"Joseph down and apologize to Redsprings right now!"
He knew very well that if Gary had reasoning, he wouldn't have followed them here. Trying to reason with
someone like him wouldn't work; he just had to understand what pain was!
"What did you say? You want me to apologize to this old dog? Westfield, have you gone mad? Honestly... Let me tell you, I came here today to settle scores. You should be the one apologizing rightnow!” Gary sneered.maintaining a high-and-mighty posture. He packed back and forth without even looking directly at Westfield, only casting a sidelong glance.
"...I almost forgot about the main issue. You and this old dog actually have billions of dollars in your accounts, and I suspect you of embezzling company assets. Therefore, you're coming back with me for investigation!" Gary leaned down, staring at Westfield with a smirk and menacing eyes.
He had planned this a while ago, despite knowing the money was simply the two's accumulated salaries and profit dividends over the years. They didn't have any problems at all.
"This money is our legitimate earnings. On what grounds can you accuse us of embezzling? If you don't believe me, you can check the company's accounts!”
Redsprings's face turned red, angrily retorting. He couldn't believe that even at his age, he would still be falsely accused.
“Of course, I will. Isn't that why I invited you both to go back with me? As for whether this money is legal or not, we can only find out after the results are out!" Gary lightly laughed in satisfaction. For him, accusing these two like this was well-deserved!
"Considering that you were once my cousin, I can give you a chance. This way, you won't say I'm unfair. As long as you hand over the money and kneel down while apologizing, maybe Autumnheights let you off nicely," Gary continued, reminding Westfield with an ironic tone.
"Save your breath. Let me ask, do you want to apologize on your knees, or should I help you?” Westfield squinted indifferently, his tone surprisingly cold. He didn't care about Gary's provocation at all.
Gary was surprised that Westfield still had the audacity to speak to him like this, instantly furious and
embarrassed.
"Westfield! Do you still think you're John Reed high-anad-mighty chairman? Let me remind you, right now, you're nothing! I can even make your life a living hell with just a word, so how dare you threaten me?Guards, give this fool a good lesson!" Gary's face contorted in a hideous manner.
"I advise you to obediently go back with us, or else Autumnheights have to take action!" The bodyguard had already prepared himself. He stared at Westfield like a cheetah, ready to pounce at any moment.
With a crisp sound, Westfield's response was a merciless slap directly across Gary's face.
“Since you won't apologize, then this slap is for Redsprings!" his emotionless voice resounded coldly, even making the bodyguard involuntarily shudder!
As far as he knew, Westfield's skills should not surpass his own. Why did this guy suddenly burst out such a fierce momentum? It even made him feel fear!
"You dare hit me?" After a while, Gary finally snapped back to reality, his eyes widening!
"You even dare to...”
“It's nothing much, really. Since you're so stubborn, Autumnheights make sure you can't even leave this building!" Westfield sneered disdainfully.
