Jenna arched an eyebrow at Gavin. "Sure, as long as you don't mind losing money."

Gavin swirled his beer glass. "How expensive can crawfish be? I'll buy as much as you want."

He took a long swig of the ice-cold beer.

Jenna's eyes crinkled into crescents. "Crawfish tastes better with a crowd. Bring all your friends."

Sophie immediately raised her hand. "I'll invite Wendy and Shirley!"

She deliberately avoided mentioning Vanessa and Tracy, knowing their past conflicts with Jenna.

Jenna nodded cheerfully.

Soon, the massive platter of crawfish was demolished by Ethan and Jenna.

Plenty of dishes remained on the table.

Jenna signaled the waiter. "Could we get these to-go, please?"

Sophie and Gavin both blinked in surprise.

Jenna efficiently packed the containers. "I'll take them home for Milo's midnight snack."

In her household, leftovers always went straight into the trash.

Gavin couldn't help asking, "Is that still edible?"

Jenna continued packing without pause. "Just refrigerate it. It won't spoil."

As their car pulled away from the street food stall, Sophie waved. "I'm riding with Gavin."
