Stella's face flushed crimson from her hospital bed.

"Sis!" She stomped her foot in frustration. "I already admitted my mistake. Why bring it up again?"

Sylvia scoffed lightly.

"I'm just warning Jenna so she doesn't end up with scum like Jake Varley."

Lucien interjected smoothly, his gaze probing.

"A beautiful woman like Miss Roland must have no shortage of suitors?"

Jenna nodded slightly.

"I am seeing someone."

Stella bolted upright.

"What?!" Her eyes widened. "Since when? Why didn't you tell me? Who is he? Is he good to you?"

Jenna massaged her temples.

"Which question should I answer first?"

Stella grinned sheepishly.

"I just don't want you to get hurt." She leaned closer. "Tell me everything. What's he like?"

"He's decent. Owns a house and car. Treats me well."

"Oh my god!" Stella gasped. "Property and wheels in Los Angeles? Where did you find this unicorn?"

Real estate prices in LA were astronomical—even suburban units cost over two million.

Not to mention owning a vehicle.

Stella did quick mental math. These were rare qualifications indeed.

"A friend introduced us." Jenna kept her tone casual.

Sylvia's peripheral vision caught Lucien's expression darkening instantly, his face stormy.

She smirked inwardly.

Just as she suspected.

Lucien had feelings for Jenna.

Thank goodness Jenna was taken. Otherwise, she'd never escape this playboy's clutches.

Stella pouted.

"Keeping secrets from me? Unforgivable!"

"We just started dating." Jenna explained. "Announcing it prematurely would be awkward if things didn't work out."

Seeing the logic, Stella dropped the subject—briefly.

"What's his name? What does he do?"

Jenna arched an eyebrow.
