Chapter 382: Chapter 382

"Can't we criticize her outrageous pricing? Ganging up on one person—have you no shame?" a woman shrieked in support.

Tanya Hill sneered. "Oh, defending her like she's your mother or ancestor? No wonder your stall's deserted!"

Hannah Kalmien, the sock vendor, chimed in. "Fifty-five for a T-shirt isn't expensive. If you can't afford it, scram. All this whining—she deserves a lesson!"

Other vendors, disgusted by Lydia Lombardi's attitude, rallied behind Jenna Roland.

Lydia turned to leave, cursing under her breath.

Jenna suddenly exploded. "You old hag! May your son die heirless, get run over by a car, and leave your daughter-in-law a miserable widow!"

She hadn't meant to go this far, but the vile woman had insulted her parents—her ultimate red line.

Lydia spun around, jabbing a finger inches from Jenna's face. "You poisonous little bitch! You'll die in the gutter!"

"Say that again," Jenna stepped closer.

"I said your whole family deserves to rot! Worthless trash!" Lydia spat.

Tanya egged her on. "Jenna, slap her already!"

Without hesitation, Jenna backhanded Lydia across the face. "You asked for it, you old witch."

Lydia clutched her cheek, eyes bulging.

"One wasn't enough?" Jenna delivered another stinging slap, then yanked her hair, slamming her to the ground.

When the clothing vendor tried to intervene, Tanya and others blocked her.

Jenna pulled out her phone to call the police.

"Enjoy jail," she said coldly, staring at Lydia sprawled on the pavement.

Tanya added, "That's disorderly conduct—we'll all testify."

Panicked, Lydia tugged her companion's sleeve. "Help me up! Let's go!"

Sophia Valrose, her daughter-in-law, hissed, "Mom, we can't just leave! Let the cops handle this!"

Tanya raised an eyebrow. "You're her daughter?"

Supporting her mother-in-law, Sophia glared. "I'm her daughter-in-law!"
