Chapter 133: Chapter 133

Consider This A Fair Warning

Isabella Rossi let out a scornful laugh. "So, you're the famous Alexander Blackwood. I've heard the stories. But what gives you the right to speak to me that way? Everyone knows you're barely acknowledged by your own family. How dare you interfere in Evelyn's matters?"

She turned to the crowd of journalists, her voice commanding. "Don't be afraid of him! Yes, he's a Blackwood, but the whole city knows he's confined to a wheelchair and shunned. Look at the chair he's sitting in! Don't hold back—get your pictures. The public loves a good scandal about the Blackwoods!"

A cold smile twisted her lips as she delivered the final insult. "Let's expose the true faces of this disgraceful pair!"

The reporters buzzed with anticipation. A story about the reclusive Blackwood heir was a rare prize.

Hearing the insults aimed at Alexander, Evelyn's anger flared. "Isabella! Shut your filthy mouth! Who is truly shameless here? I was with Julian for five years, and for three of those, you were chasing him. And Julian is no saint! He used you while stringing me along. You two are the despicable ones!"

"You!" Isabella's face flushed crimson with rage and humiliation. She pointed a shaking finger at Evelyn. "You're the one who couldn't let go! You betrayed him! You married another man on your wedding day to Julian! Don't you dare deny it!"

Evelyn shot back sharply, "He betrayed me first! You schemed to lure him away from our ceremony, leaving me publicly humiliated. After that, why shouldn't I have married someone else?"

She tightened her grip on Alexander's hand, her voice steady and strong. "My husband is a better man than Julian could ever be. Julian is a cheater, and mark my words, Isabella, he will betray you too. Consider this a fair warning."

While the women argued, Alexander remained perfectly composed, his expression unreadable. He made a subtle gesture to one of his security detail standing behind him.

The man gave a nearly imperceptible nod and stepped away to make a call.

Isabella was seething, consumed by fury at Evelyn's words.

Patricia Blackwood, who had been watching silently, was shocked. She had never seen her usually controlled daughter-in-law lose her temper so completely.

"What are you waiting for?" Isabella shrieked at the reporters, her frustration boiling over. "This is front-page news! Why aren't you filming this?"

Jolted into action, the reporters raised their cameras, but their phones began ringing simultaneously.

Each one received an urgent call from their editor, who was shouting in panic. "Where are you? Get back to the office now! If any of you report a single word about Alexander Blackwood, you're finished! Don't be idiots!"

The reporters were stunned into silence.

"But... this is about the Blackwood heir. Why is it forbidden? We reported on the arrest of the second son, and the family didn't interfere. Why is this different?"

The editors' responses were even more furious. "You fools! This is a direct order! Publish one sentence about him, and you'll be blacklisted for life! No media outlet in this city will ever hire you again!"

The reporters were speechless, struggling to comprehend.

They had always believed Alexander Blackwood to be a powerless, wheelchair-bound figure. How could he possibly command such fear?
